A little bit about me.......

I am a life long Floridian who was born in Tampa. As a youth I relocated to Polk County closer to where my mother could help with our family’s citrus business. I grew up on the fringe of south Lakeland, where I had a very modest middle class up bringing and was surrounded with very conservative voices. Being raised by a single mother I have witnessed the strength needed to accomplish great success for others and I pray that everyday that I can be as strong as she is.
After High School I came back to Tampa to attend the University of Tampa where I received my Bachelor’s Degree. That is also where I met my wife, Alissa. No matter what groups and organizations that I have been apart of I have found myself being put in a leadership role because of my ability to find middle ground solutions. Also with my grandfather Rene Zacchini being a circuit judge and a state representative I have always been shown the great importance of public service.
My wife and I deal with many of the same problems that I feel countless Floridians do. The extreme disconnect between Tallahassee and the majority of Floridians has caused us to lose trust in our politicians and their ability to do the will of the people. This as you know has turned off the public from getting involved in their local governments. We have to realize that Washington D.C is not going to address the day to day issues that residents of Hillsborough county face. We as a community need to engage our local and state governments to tackle the major problems with common sense solutions.
